Mobile Holistic Dog Grooming & Pet Spa

Providing a natural therapeutic grooming experience for healthy, happy dogs

About

Hi, I’m Mark Redler, the owner of Clippity Snip Mobile Dog Grooming and Pet Spa.

Before starting my grooming business I worked as a designer in the fashion industry, working firstly in fashion textiles before moving in to Menswear and finally as Design Director for a major lingerie brand. Although I love fashion my real passion is for dogs and they have played a major part in my life for many years.

In 2015 I decided to swap my fabric shears for grooming shears as I wanted to combine my creativity with my passion for dogs by training as a dog groomer and setting up my own business.

Having groomed my own dogs to show standard I went on to complete my level 3 City & Guilds under award winning groomer Julie Lalou-Simpson of Dogs Delight, winner of Best Grooming School 2016, graduating with distinction.

Since then I have spent time creating a business that is wholly focussed on the care and welfare of the dogs I groom. This has included further training in both First Aid for dogs and Reiki and I am a fully qualified Reiki 2 practitioner. This allows me to offer a truly holistic and all natural service for dogs and their owners.

I live in Poole with my partner and our four Keeshonds Frisko, Kaiko, Frenchie and Keiba, who we show. We also breed Keeshonds and are committee members of The Keeshond Club where I am Treasurer.

Convenient & Stress Free Holistic Dog Grooming

Based in Poole and covering Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas, I provide a Holistic grooming experience in a relaxing, stress free environment to improve your pets health and well-being. Holistic means treating the whole – the mind, body and spirit – to engage both the physical and emotional needs of each animal.

To achieve this I use only high quality, 100% naturally derived products using the finest organic, non-toxic, chemical free ingredients, essential for a healthy skin and coat.

Relaxing music is played and mood lighting used, together with aromatherapy, to promote a complete sensory experience. I can even use Reiki to help calm any nervous pooches.

Dogs are washed in a Hydrobath that massages as it cleans, getting deep into the coat with wonderful therapeutic benefits, particularly good for seniors and dogs with aches and pains. I do not use cages or cabinet dryers and don’t rush the treatment, ensuring each dog has a positive and relaxing experience.

As a mobile groomer I offer a bespoke, relaxed groom in a wonderful, peaceful environment.

The service is one-to-one at your home or any convenient location, perfect for nervous dogs. All I require is enough space on a flat road or driveway (equivalent to 2 parking spaces) for my fully equipped grooming salon which is ‘stand alone’ so no need to plug in to your home or noisy generator. I am fully insured and a member of the Pet Industry Federation and the British Isles Grooming Association.

Take a look at my news page for regular articles on dog grooming and animal welfare and for my full terms and conditions. Also have a look at my contact page for lots of before & after photos of dogs I’ve groomed.

“Mark always does a great job! I have three very active, woolly Samoyeds and he grooms them to perfection! If you haven’t tried Clippity Snip yet, please do! Your dogs will love you for it! Thank you Mark!”

-CHRISTINE, PENN HILL

Reiki

As a Reiki 2 qualified practitioner, I am able to offer both Reiki-infused grooming as well as tailored Reiki treatments.

Reiki, meaning ‘Universal Life Energy’ is a complementary, gentle, healing therapy that rebalances energy which flows through the body. Every living organism is surrounded by a life force or energy field and using Reiki helps to re-align the body’s natural energy, restoring balance and harmony and enabling the body to heal itself.

Dogs, like people, suffer from stress, fears, anxiety and depression and Reiki can help reduce tension and instil calm. It can be particularly useful whilst recovering from surgery or injury, helping to reduce pain and speeding up the body’s natural healing process. Whether it’s a behavioural disorder, injury or arthritis Reiki may offer healing help. When receiving Reiki, animals commonly enter a state of deep relaxation and peace, leading to an overall sense of wellness.

Reiki treatments last approximately 45 minutes.
